Angie's Maternity Session

There is something so wonderful about seeing a soon-to-be Mom and her unborn child.  When I took my first ever Maternity photos, I remember telling some friends and family, and their reactions were mixed.  Some thought it was a great idea, while others thought it was a little weird taking just photos of a woman and her belly.  But when you think about it, we document every other life changing occasion in our lives, why not pregnancies?

Children are a gift from God, placed in our care to nourish and encourage and that is why I enjoy taking these Maternity photos for people.  Angie was a perfect example. Her illuminating spirit and eagerness to be a Mom really showed through in these photos.  We had a great Sunday!

Thanks Angie!  Can't wait to meet your new blessing when it comes this December!  A wonderful Christmas present indeed!

Little Elsie Anna

I promised myself I would wait till next week to share these photos, but I just can't wait that long!  This is my adorable niece Elsie.  She was sent to us in June, and ever since then, she has been the light of our lives!  I was fortunate enough to document Elsie's first halloween.  My favorite is of her and Daddy (my oldest brother) sharing the turtle costume!  And I promise, this isn't the last you've seen of Elsie!

Schommer Family Session

Meet the Schommer clan!  A family I met through my husband's connection to the local Fire Department. Truly a wonderful family to work with for one of my first family sessions.  They brought their own ideas to the afternoon and I brought mine, combined, they really turned out fantastic!  This is a family that really enjoys each other's company, and I am so fortunate they asked me to capture that!

Thanks Schommers!

First Post... Here goes nothing!

Photography has been a great hobby of mine for the last few years.  I remember how excited I was when my first Photograph (a picture of my brother and sister-in-law) was published in a local newspaper as their engagement announcement.  I was proud of my work, and I craved more.

These last few years, I have taken infant photographs, other engagement photographs, senior photos, maternity photos, large family photos, and even captured a few plays for a local production company.

I am extremely blessed to have friends and family that ask me to capture these moments for them.  There is nothing left to do but share what I love to do with everyone else!

Enjoy!
